Lagos State Safety Commission (LSSC) on Monday 19th March 2018, organized Lagos Vision Zerooo press conference at Alausa Secretariat, Ikeja, Lagos.
The tenets of the initiative are:
Zero harm at work and home is an achievable goal.
All accidents/harm are preventable
Everyone should return home from work fit and healthy.
Health and safety should be a collective responsibility.
Health, Safety and wellness should be part of our value system towards profitable business operations.
The DG of the Commission, Honourable Hakeem Dickson, gave a special commendation to a group of professionals who were instrumental to the founding of the Lagos State Safety Commission, in his words “I am a beneficiary of the good foundation that these people laid”.
In his personal statement, the Managing Consultant of Baca Resources, Mr. Olufemi Abiodun, expressed his company’s commitment to the sustenance of the LSSC’s adoption of the Vision Zerooo initiative.
The Vision Zerooo campaign was launched as a global initiative for health and safety, as an offshoot of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals at the Singapore Accord in November 2017. Over 95 countries signed the Accord as a national commitment to improving health and safety across the Nations.
